Empowering youth with digital skills for the future

ICT Training Session

About Our ICT Training Program

Our ICT Training Program is designed to help bridge the digital divide by providing refugee and host community youth in remote areas with essential technology skills. Our courses and hands-on training empower the participants to understand and participate in the digital world with ease and open doors to new opportunities.

The program focuses on practical, market-relevant skills that can lead to employment, entrepreneurship, or further education in technology fields. The approach we use combines technical training with soft skills development. Mentorship is very important - a bonus skill to our participants to ensure holistic growth and development in the tech world.

Uda's Story

Uda's Journey

"I was having some small computer skills in basics computers and graphics but the challenge was that everything was expensive out there when I tried to join to extend my skills. So, I could not make it. I came closer to YFTC staff and tell them my challenge. They were very friendly and they offered me to join the program. Internet was my biggest challenge, but after the training, I even learned plus (I can design logo, print T-shirt, etc). This program has has opened up my mind to go and look for capital and start my own business to employ myself because the life of today is not like that of yesterday."

"Generally, computer has been a problem for me right from the types of computers, but this program has changed alot within me. I have trained from here and I have gained alot of knowlege about computers. It has made alot of impact in my life, because as beign a mid-wife, you have to make daily rosters, reports and workplans and print them, which I didn't know before but I can now make them, including our weekly and monthy reports, I can generate graphs and summarize my report to show my performance. There are some Interview I have done, but becasue I can work with computers very well, I have been successful in some those interviews. "
